WHAT TO BRING :
Goats: Two (or more) goats – broke to lead (preferably a doe and/or a wether) Bring what you have. NO BUCKS.
All stock must have a current health certificate from a licensed veterinarian, within 30 days of the event.
NO DOGS. Please leave your dogs at home. Personal assistant dogs should not be brought near the arena while children are practicing or showing. Please keep dogs in a pen, in a personal cage, or your trailer. Out of sight.
Equipment: You will need to bring along the following items
Trimming Stand
Electric Clippers
Blower/Dryer
Halters and Leads
Hoof Trimmers
Feed and Feeders/Feed Pans
Water buckets
Grooming supplies
Wash your goats before you get to the grounds.
Shavings for pens. We will no longer have shavings for sale. No other bedding allowed. No hay and/or straw for bedding.
Please clean your pens when you depart. Wheelbarrow and shovel at the office. You may pay to have your pen cleaned.
Place: Missouri State Fairgrounds, Sedalia, Missouri
All pens are assigned. Use notes to request special penning assignment.
Cost: $150.00, enter online. Payment may be paid online or mailed by check. This does not include your pen fee or tack pen.
When you enter your child in the Youth Goat Camp, as a parent/guardian, you accept all responsibility and liability for your child/youth, in attendance. USE THIS FORM
Release Form must be completed prior to camp.
Topics Covered: This is an intense learning experience!
Topics include:
Selection- What do I look for?
Basic Care Feeding/Nutrition- What do I feed, how should I feed it, & why?
Training & Exercise- What can I do?
Grooming- Preparation, tools, good hygiene.
Proper ring etiquette and so much more.
Get unloaded and set up. Decorate your pen if participating in the Pen Decorating Contest.

Midwest Buck Sale, LLC will take reasonable care to insure the safety of exhibits and property, but the owner must take the risk of exhibiting. In no case will Midwest Buck Sale, LLC be responsible for any loss, damage or injury to property or persons while on the Missouri State fairgrounds, or at any other time or place, nor be liable or required to make any payment for damage, loss or injury.
